I gotta know: what do you color with? colored pencils, or crayons? do you draw the characters out in pencil first and then trace them with pen/marker? or do you draw them in pen/marker and hope you don't screw up?what kind of pen/marker do you use to outline? and where do you buy it?

Well... hold on a minute. *runs upstairs, rummages, finds things*
OK. I use stuff from WHSmith shops mainly, since we don't have much in the way of art shops where I live.
I do the comic pages on an A4 sketch pad. First I sketch the page with a 3B graphite pencil, and when I'm finished, I go over the outlines with a medium-thickness Faber Castell artist pen, and then I write over the speech I've done in pencil and then I erase all the pencil lines.
Then I go around the speech in coloured bubbles with some colour Faber Castell pens (they have a brush-like tip) according to the characters speaking. After that I just colour everything in and have fun with it. I use coloured pencils - a big 36-pack from WHSmith - and after that it's pretty much ready. I don't shade much. It probably shows. XD

x3 No problem. Make sure you get a set of very high quality outlining pens though - I feel that they're the part that helps the most. Basically just don't outline stuff in your local bank's biro-on-a-chain, if you know what I mean. xD

lol. xD wow i just checked the faber castell stuff on ebay-- they were selling one of the pens for $3,000!!!! LITERALLY! no WAY am i gonna be able to get one of those XD

I hope mine weren't that much o-o; I'd never use them if they were. I doubt it though. Mine came in a little plastic wrapper thing with a flippy flap thing to open it. You're supposed to take them out of it really but they stay clean if I don't xD
